Day 1 - Start to get over the habit
It's morning. My daughter comes into my room and wakes me up (she's better than an alarm clock). When breakfast comes around, the first thing I think of is cereal or toast.
I am supposed to start today! How could I have forgotten already? Habits; bad habits can be hard to break, especially at 6am in the morning. Instead of the usual breakfast, we opt for a healthier alternative. Oranges. Oranges are supposed to be a Superfood because of the high levels of vitamin C and phytonutrients it contains. I also had some carrots and lots of water. My daughter has her usual yogurt and cheerios.
As the day progresses, my stomach starts to really ache. I eat some more carrots and a spinach salad (another Superfood). After 1/2 hour my stomach continues to ache, and the pain progresses throughout my body. Now I have a headache, and am extremely moody. All I can think of is eating some carbs.
I went online and researched what could be causing the aches and pains. I came across alot of sites that stated it was because my body was trying to get rid of some toxins. I didn't think that the detox process could start so soon, but again I did consume a lot of caffeine pre-journey.
Hopefully day 2 is less painful and more successful. { I ended up having some bread... :-( }
